I'm continueing my experiments with my little white stage and my recently acquired camera... Here is another one:

I came up with the idea to shoot this bulb after I found that it's not lighting anymore. Unfortunately, I couldn't catch the broken filament in this shot :( That would make the bulb look even weaker before the candle...

1. Set white balance manually on a blue object and took the shot.
2. This shot had a better flame but kept some of the shadow out. So I used another shot to copy the bottom part from.
3. Cropped and resized
4. Adjusted Hue/Saturation to add red
5. Resized the Canvas and created the white background layer
6. USM

You may find the original shot posted here as WS.
That's it! Hope you like it.

Garo, novel idea and well executed. Sometime older ideas continue to work while the newer technologies fail. Good post processing with interesting color effects !

Creative, fun effect from the tea-light. Nice warm setting

veru nicely done... and it does add sthg to the original.. I first thought the bulb was lit itself...

Nice and very creative work you've done here.
I like the use of the red which creates a warm feeling to the photo.
A really good experimental shot and result.
Well done.

This is another good experiment. I like the mood and the pervasive red tone on it. You are a master PS person. I simply like the way you experiment with this great software invention.

This is cool. I like the red and the candle behind the light. Neat shot.

I think this was a successful experiment.
The strong red colour are fantastic and the light and bulb are great.
Nicely done!

Well chosen title, what more can I say, this is excellent work, very creative, lovely focus, very innovative composition, shooting through the light through the globe highlighting the tungsten fillaments is very well done...I like it.

Great creative idea ! Great color and good title... Don't you find a way to hide the candle box ? (it's another idea, just suggest...) Still marvellous picture. Great !!

Wow, very creative. Your photos continue to amaze me....: )

That is great! Nice shaprmess and color too! Like the candle although it would look great without it too. JP
