[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In a village about an hour from Lome, I found this well-dressed boy watching his brother. For entertainment, he drew pictures in the sand with a stick. Most shelters near by had tin sheet roofs and walls (slightly visible in the background) and thus being inside these shelers was extremely hot during the sunny days.

Sorry the size is too small; I will repost it larger. (I cannot repost it yet due to time restraints.)

Hi adrienne
welcome on TL
nice colourful picture
but its so small!!

Hi Adrienne! What a first image to share on TL! Welcome and already looking forward to your next pics.
For this particular image, I might have gone for a bigger image (is it cropped?) and maybe not added a black frame, but that's just my pov.
All in all, great job and welcome,
Will be back with pts!
(and thank you for your kind words on my Table Mountain pic)

Welcome to TrekLens Adrienne! So lovely, the colors are stunning and I like the composition with the boy's leg positioned diagonally through the composition. And yes, I've stayed in West Africa for a month at a home with no air conditioning in the middle of summer...that is why people are outside most of the day, too hot! Good tie-in of greens in the plants in the background and I love the boys' various facial expressions. Excellent lighting and shades captured on their smooth black skin. I only wish you posted it larger! Just go in Photoshop (if that's what you have to post photos) and go to "Save for Web..." then go to the tab that says "Image Size" and resize the image to a maximum of 800 pixels in length or width, then put the appropriate number in the box for the "Quality" above until the size of the photo is no more than 200 K (this is indicated in the lower left hand corner under where the photo is shown). Hope this helps. Thanks for sharing and hope to see more of your work soon!

Great details and colors! Good note and can't wait to see the large version. TFS

You did some very good photos of kids you meet on your traveling (I saw them on TE).
This one looks interesting and good too, but is to small. I will certainly look at it if you repost larger photo.
