Awesome shot of this highly powerful super boat. Amazing to think the speed they achieve on the water. Good detail for an moving object and nice colors.

Not a bad attempt Erwin.
Shutter speed is too high in my opinion though so all the action is frozen.

Perhaps opening the aperture and dropping to around 1/500 (or even less depending on the focal length you have selected on the zoom), will still freeze the subject, but create motion blur in the foreground and background as you pan the subject. Camera shake shouldn't be a problem as long as the shutter speed is slightly greater than, or equal to the focal length.

Framing could be a little better too. Here, the boat is too central. Leaving space in front of the subject, giving the boat something to move into would have created more impact to the shot.

On a positive though, an exciting subject with speed clearly defined by the water spray behind the boat.
I'm sure you've got plenty more shots of the event, all of which will forever remind you of the great day out.

Hello Erwin! Dynamic take. Superb sports shot. Fine colours. Sophisticated effect. Well done!
