Hello Laurette

I like the sharpness and saturation of the bird with excellent DOF for isolation of the subject. Maybe just a tad bit too centered. Still a very beautiful capture.

Hi Laurette,
Good sharp capture, and pretty bird.
I like the naming... who came up with it, Red Bishop? Its quite funny when you look at the bird's colors.

Hello Laurette, what a bright little bird! The bird is in sharp focus, and the bokeh is perfect, complementing without distracting.
You have even got the catchlight in its' eye.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hello Laurette,
Let me start by saying that this is a fantastic image. I nearly got close enough to one with a 300mm lens the other day but the little fellow looked so scruffy. Maybe it was a juvenile. This one is much better manicured. The overall quality - colours, sharpness, textures and bokeh - are all spot on. Such a centred subject often does not work well but it does here. You could have cropped off quite a bit on the left and even a little at the top to get the rule of thirds going but, for me, it is neither here nor there in this particular image. However, I would have got rid of the OOF diagonal "twig" behind the bird but very good indeed as is. Well done.

Hi Laurette
For me is difficult taking a well focused photo on a small bird, like this one. You´ve achieved a good work.

Hello laurette, this is a beautiful composition with natural colors with good depth of field and the branches look pretty nice. The bird looks colorful and seems to be waiting for her mate. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Hi Laurette..very nice...perfect focus and nice soft background. Well done.

Hi Laurette,
Beautiful details and sharpness on the Bishop. I might have just cropped it off centre giving more space to the right, otherwise a great capture.

Ciao Laurette, great capture of lovely bird in nice pose, fine details, splendid light, excelent clarity and wonderful colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Laurette, the little guy certainly stands out with those bright colours against the bg. Good dof with his perch just as clear as he is. He looks like hes yelling out orders to the troops with his chest puffed out. Fiona
