Hi David,
Excellent looking HDR, the warm lighting and wispy clouds are key features of this scene. Nice reflections off the almost still water too, the CPL looks like it came in handy. What time of the day was this taken? Good job.

This is a very beautiful scene the colours are so varied and very rich the reflections look as if they are painted the wispy clouds are fantastic. The details are sharp pov is excellent the dof is great and as I have said the colours are very rich well done.

David,
This has a real 3D feel to me. The clouds really do look far away. I do like the contrast between the highlights and the shadows here, there is a huge difference! I think when one can include water, sky and earth in a shot and some pretty artistic subjects like boats and old waterfront buildings, they have a pretty good recipe for success.
Very well presented HDR photo, David.

Hi David,

An exceptional shot with great mood and beautiful colors! I like the sharpness and the cloud formation associated with mountains in the BG. The clouds bringing wonderful mood into the shot, whereas, uneven reflections in the water made the viewer to think deeply about the story behind this gorgeous water-front and everything happening there. the POV is just superb with great use of the natural light. An original work!

This light is a feast for a photographer. You have captured it with great skills!
I like much your composition with this sunny harbour in the middle of two blue layers. A very appealing site well depicted. The HDR processing is subtly done. and adds at the image a gorgeous shimmering. Very beautiful!

David, My best friend is originally from Capetown and what a gorgeous place. I can't wait to visit one day (with her as a guide). The photo is just stunning. The sun hitting the buildings really show the cheerful colors of the buildings (representing cheerful personalities?) ;) The sailboat on the left really adds to the mood of this seascape. Hi David,

Nice shot with beautifull brillance. Sky is filled with splendid clouds and ripple on the water creates nice mouvements. The PP treatment maintained a nice and sharp contrast while keeping great details in shadows and highlight. It has at the same time a photography look and a painted look as seen in "renaissance painting" (I am not a paint expert, may be I mentionned the wrong period). The slightly warm tone, amphasis the painting look. Excellent work that doesn't need any framing to give it more value. TFS.

quiet a masterpeace, my compliments.. light and its treatment are superb.. it gives so well a sense of age in modernity.. silver reflection on the water is wonderful also.. a nice visual effect.. with an unique and moody atmosfere.. great compo!

Pretty average shot if you ask me ;-), terrible compo, terrible light with terrible colours, but the shot is tranquil indeed ;-) What I like is the subtle, and I mean subtle use of the HDR. One of the best I have come across on this site, if not the best to be honest. If anyone wants to use HDR properly then this is the capture to look at. Excellent PP work to enhance the scene, well done David.

I wanted to ask you; does it have an identical cockpit to your aircraft (being same no of engines)?
