[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Kermel market in Dakar is a source of olfactory
cacophony...skinned sheep carcases hanging from hooks, mounds of shrimp, octopus, fish from sardines to sharks, spices, herbs...etc.
The aromas were nearly overpowering to me, so I can imagine that this cat, having a far better sense of smell than I do, must have been in nasal nirvana! He sat beneath this mountain of shrimp for several minutes...biding his time and the inattention of the shrimp monger. His moment finally came, with one leap he was on the table and gone with a shrimp dangling from his mouth before you could say "Inch Allah"!
