This is in the Medina in Fez, Morocco. a place where the time has stood still for centuries. Narrow streets filled with people, selling all kinds of goods and services.

As seen in the centre of the photo, the main non-human mode of transportation of goods is by donkeys. as you wander through this incredible place, you come across scenes that could have been from a tale from Arabian Nights.

The concessions made to the 21st century, are the satellite dishes that sprout from every building and the ubiquitous mobile phones that everyone appears to be carrying. I am sure they now have internet connections and computers in this place, but those were behind the closed doors of residences and other commercial buildings.

Hi,Sunil. Nice caption and you are right time seems to have stood still in this place. It is a challege to get good lighting for exposure but you did fine. The narrow alley and the donkey adds to the interest.Good framing. Cheers.

Hello Sunil

You chose such an attractive position to take the image, just love the tunnel of shade forcing the eye thro, colours are so pleasing coupled with a well balanced frame, nice work. TFS

Stv :)

A nice capture Sunil! This time the over-exposure in the BG works well because you have interest in the centre of the picture and the brightness from above sets the scene... You're somewhere hot!

Good street photo.

Hello Sunil

Aptly titled. Good sharpness & superb warm vs coldm color contrast between the mans blue shirt & the magenta fabric on sale at left. Good light management & shadow detail under tricky conditions. Tfs!

Hello Sunil, a good PoV giving us the impression that we are standing right beside you.
The dark shapes to either side of you suggest more stalls and make a good frame for the view along the narrow street.I love the way that everyone is just getting on with their everyday life.
The extremes of light is just how this place is!
A very apt title.
Tfs, regards Jean.
