This is a red-billed hornbill (Trockus sp.), a large (35-cm long) bird widely distributed in subSaharan Africa. It's omnivorous, eating insects, fruit,small reptiles, etc. The sexes are identical in appearance except the female is a bit smaller. |

Hi Michael
You have captured the bird very well, despite cutting his tail off. But that background is so distracting. Maybe some pp work would make the bird really pop from the background.
