Bonjour Michel,

I remember critiquing a closer view of the rushing water. It is interesting to see the whole in a wider context.
Good, sharp focus on the f/g and excellent use of thirds composition. There is a good lead into the distance from the cascading water but, maybe, a large step to the left, would have allowed you to photograph the scene with the leading water less centrally positioned. I'm not sure if that was possible for you.

Have a good Sunday,
Bev :-)

Hello Csaba,

A very well composed shot, with sharp focus on your focal figures and the f/g details, whilst the oof b/g makes a most interesting context.

Hello Paras,

I like this very much, with the sensitive use of narrow dof. The sharply focussed buttercup is strongly positioned, whilst its oof neighbours produce a stunningly, colourful b/g.

Have a good Sunday,

I really like this, with its artistic sense of composition and delightful use of narrow dof. The portrait format was a good choice to accommodate this vertical formation.

Hello Francis,

I remember travelling in one of these; what a great memory!
You have achieved a lovely composition, with the carriage strongly positioned, and a natural lead across the frame from the road, towards an equally strongly positioned archway. There are some interesting details.
I am not a massive fan of HDR, feeling that it sometimes gives unnatural colours or a sense of oversharping but have to admit, it is very much a personal preference.

Have a lovely Sunday,
Bev :-)

Ciao Fabrizio,

This is a fine close-up capturing sharp, precise details of the flower and its occupants. The narrow dof is extremely effective.
Maybe a slight crop from the left would give a better off-centre composition but perhaps I am nit picking here.

Bev :-)

Hello hien,

It is sad to hear that your plant is suffering from thirst and that this interesting shot has been taken as a result of its demise; normally, a rose would certainly be in an upward position! However, you sharp photograph, using a narrow dof, graphically illustrates the beleagured rose.

You can still brighten up the shot in PS. You will be surprised by the details it will reveal.

Hello Brian,

A delightful composition using horizontal layers and with the focal castle strongly positioned in the frame.
The f/g vegetation is a good, natural frame and helps produce a sense of depth.
If you pop the shot into PS and use the automatic smart fix key, you will find that it sets the colours a little more naturally, otherwise, it is fine.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello John,

You have captured a mood most accurately!
Green is a pacifying colour and your shot, with the still water and fine reflections, oozes tranquility.
If you pop your shot in PS and use automatic smart fix, you will find that it adds a little more depth to the colours and a little more sharpness. (To be oversharpened would completely spoil the mood!)
I like this!

You have achieved great sharpness on this very difficult shot. It can be hard to capture one butterfly in flight but to capture two is remarkable.
I love how you have shown their context with these seeding grasses in various degrees of sharpness.

Hello Muhammad,

This was a really tough shot; white flowers and strong sunshine. You have controlled the light well with only a hint of oe. The exposure is sharp and there is a pleasing contrast between the highlighted and shaded areas.
IMHO, the flower would be more strongly positioned a little further towards the top right but the bud (bottom left) does help to off-set it.

Bev :-)

Hello Andrija,

A fine shot which captured the details and the textures of the location very well. Your low pov gives the fortress stature as it stands out proudly against the sky.
IMHO, the fortress, positioned strongly in the thirds area of the frame, would make it look even better. I will do a w/s to explain.

Hello Raimundo,

The first thing that struck me was the lovely composition, with the stem emerging from the bottom l/h corner and following a diagonal across the frame. It terminates in a very strong position.
The exposure is sharp and, as you say, plays beautifully with the tonal values.

The light is lovely and very well controlled.
Your pov is well chosen, creating a funnel to guide the viewer towards the gilded buildings.
