Hi Manuj. Lovely 'soft' shot. If anything, I feel the man is a little too central in the image but the wagon seems to balance the right side out a bit. Excellent use of the conditions to get this subdued shot. Regards, Paul.

Hi John,

Well spotted and quite a dizzying image. I'm not really good with heights and this looks quite terrifying!

Nice shot...! Paul.

Hi Maria Jose,

I love the composition - very angular and simple. The water droplets add to the texture and give the greens an added freshness. My only criticism is that it isn't 100% sharp which, for a still-life study, in my opinion, it should be.

This would be a fantastic one to shoot again at a narrower aperture (f11, f16) and using a tripod.

A very beautiful image which could be a real winner.

Kind regards, Paul.

Hi Jean.

We're only a few miles down the road but in the 9 years down here, this is one place I've missed out on so far! Nice composition using the symmetry. Excellent exposure and sharpness. Pity the lighting was a bit dull / hazy but a cracking good shot. Regards, Paul.

Hi Glenn.

A bit too dark. Moody but also a bit muddy. I've done a workshop to give it a bit more drama. Hope you like it. Otherwise, sweet model and interesting (if not ideal) background.

Regards, Paul.

Hi Roger.

Nice, natural portrait. The fact that there's no direct eye contact seems to work well. Pin sharp and her arm masks any background distractions. Great work. Paul.

Hi Hans. Other commitments prevented me from being there (only 45 min drive so quite fruatrating not being there...!) but thanks for this great image.

Paul.

What a hideous and hairy bundle....and the dog's not much better!

Very funny post. Perhaps crop out the other figures?

Made me smile. Paul.

Hi Jaques,

A really nice composition. I might have made it half a stop darker to draw out some of the highlights. However, excellent work.

Paul.

Hi Martin.

Really nice and very punch portrait. Clearly a harking back to days of Sinead O'Connor and even further back to Annie Lennox in her "Tourist" era.

Great eye contact. Skin texture is great - although, for me, there's a bit much make up between the ears and mouth.

Great work. Paul.
