Fantastisk. Without your note one has to think over it. And think and think and think. Is it artificial? Biological? It takes its time to recognise the pavement (these little stones in the gorge) with its little moss. Do like the image formation and the shallow DOF in combination with the focal point set to the upper third of the composition. Colours give an idea of night, of loneliness (hey, ever played with the white balance to create certain moods?) To me, it represents in some way an unknown way to an uncertain future, the gorge leading from left to right. Would be totally different while flipping it horizontically...

Ha det bra,

... looks like a scenery out of "Room with a view"....
Indeed, pose and clothes do mix up the strictness of architectural lines ;-)

Hei Jens, the second flash destroys it in my opinion for its unnatural and sharp shadow on the wall. Doing it from the right would have been the better way here. On reduced power, the shadow of his face would disappear and even the ones caused by his arm and shoulder wouldn't be too strong. Several shots necessary of course, you weren't in a hurry...
But it was a good idea not to put this one to the competition. The ivy growing on his head, the top of the wall hitting his forehead, the bicycle in the BG, the overall scenery.
Think about taking a shot of his hand in action only, while doing his work. Packed visual content, slow shutter, flash set to rear curtain (I have to admit I don't know whether the G9 offers this feature) to show the motion. Or wide angle lens from behind him, head to the leftt over to his arm with the aerosol can, either crisp sharp from start to end or shallow DOF... Just ideas on the theme. Synspunkt... angle, point of view, viewpoint, aspect, consideration... difficult to decide and to transform into an image.

Perfect portrait of a hard-working man... Do like his expression very much. Unusual one at first glance, but combined with the title give, the collar adds up to it...

Keep on shooting, H.:)

Aaah, getting a glance to the eyes, don't hesitate using the flash at -3 ;-)
