While I don't recommend the use of auto mode (especially on a fine camera like yours), this turned out well. Good comp, good sharpness and nice shallow DOF. Nice that you still have your grandma, cherish the time you have with her.

Well done Detlef, good composition and processing!

I realize that this will sound stupid, but her eye is also smiling. Well captured Roger, I fully agree with less is more.

Hi Francis,

Lovely colors and reflections, a nicely framed composition to take good advantage of both.

Regards,
Werner

Hi Erwin,

Great catch, an awesome nature shot. Very sharp with excellent textures, plus the background has sufficient blurring. Not something one sees every day.

Werner

Hi Mike,

A fine example of street photography. I like the way you capture everyday life. Those boots are great too!

Werner

Hi Eleu,

A really nice capture of this old beauty. The image has an HDR feel to it, maybe because of the shine on the vehicle. The sad thing is that I remember when these dinosaurs roamed the earth in large numbers ;)

Werner

Hi Roger,

I agree with you that a shot like this should have the verticals corrected. Lens distortion has its place, but not in a composition like this. I like the way this is composed too, nicely balanced. B&W suits this well also, nice tonal range.

Is that a lighthouse on top of the fort?

Best regards,
Werner

Hi Jean,

I like the way you framed the background door and window in the archway. Your note is interesting too, it is not easy to find seclusion in such highly populated tourist areas. Nice shot!

Werner

Very nice Eleu, the background bokeh is wonderful. There's some OE where the light is hitting it, but I don't think it's a bad thing here.
